The Data Vaults kick-off meeting was held in Berlin with great success. Representatives of 17 European partners, including Olympiacos, were hosted at the Fraunhofer premises to discuss the requirements and key stages of the project.
The meeting began with the presentation of all participants and their participation in EU programs. The partners’ representatives outlined the key reasons that led them to participate in the project and their role in the implementation phase. Regarding Olympiacos, the club is an appropriate case study in the field of sport for the most effective implementation of the personal data management platform. In addition to the technical preparation of the platform, special emphasis was given on the communication part in order to promote the platform as much as possible. Following the presentation of the role of each partner, practical details were discussed in order to better co-operate and better coordinate the actions.
Olympiacos' participation in the project shows a particular interest in technological initiatives. So far, the club has been involved in actions that have highlighted the important role of sport in sensitive social and sport issues. The club expands the scope of its extracurricular activities and looks for new initiatives in the view of the annual meeting of the European Multisport Club Association (EMCA) and the Erasmus+ Sport Info Day in Brussels in the next week.
