Olympiacos participated in the Sport infoday of European Commission held at the "Charlemagne" building. This meeting is organized annually to inform stakeholders about the Erasmus + initiatives and the related procedural details.

Participation in the EMCA General Assembly!

The General Assembly of EMCA took place in Brussels on Monday (4/2). Olympiacos delegation headed by Secretary General Christina Tsiligkiri was present at the annual meeting of the top European multisport clubs, showing its leading role in European sport actions.

Olympiacos will fight for the qualification in the rematch!

The men’s volleyball team will claim the qualification to the semi-finals in the Rentis sporting hall. The “Reds’’ lost the first game by Burgas in Bulgaria with 3-1 in a strong match. Although, Olympiacos won the first set, the hosts got the next ones and secured the victory. The rematch will take place in Rentis on Thursday 14 February where the “Reds’’ will compete for the qualification having the support of their fans. They need to win the game and the golden set so as to qualify.

Secured the first position and qualified to the quarter-finals!

Olympiacos celebrated the qualification to the quarter finals of the women’s water polo Euroleague after the draw (9-9) against Padova in the last game of the third qualifying group and secured the first position. The “Reds’’ started well, took the lead and reacted to the Padova’s pressure showing their dominance and taking the first position in the group. The next opponent will one of Sant Andreu (Spain), Vouliagmeni and Ekipe Orizzonte (Italy).

An impressive victory against Khanty-Mansiysk!

Olympiacos was the winner in the game against Khanty-Mansiysk (20-6) in the second day of the third Euroleague qualifying group. Having an excellent offensive and defensive game, the ‘Reds’’ imposed their rhythm and got the second victory in the group stage making another important step for the first position. The next game is against Padova which hosts the group and will be held on Sunday (27/1) at 13:00.

A winning start in Euroleague!

The women’s water polo team started the European journey well winning 12-5 against the Spanish team Mataro in the first match of the 3rd Euroleague Qualifying Group held in Italy. The “Reds’’ proved their dominance from the beginning taking the lead with 3-0 and having an excellent defense in the rest of the game. They kept it under control and celebrated the first victory. In the next game, Olympiacos faces the Russian Khanty-Mansiysk on Saturday (26/1) at 18:00.

A deafeat in Russia!

Olympiacos was competitive in the first half against Dynamo Kursk but finally, was defeated by 75-58 in the 10th game of Euroleague. 

The “Reds’’ were bad in the first period and was back with five points but were effective in the three-point shots in the second one closing the margin to a point at the end of the first half. Dynamo Kursk pressed on the defense more and boosted the difference to 11 points. Olympiacos tried to close the score again but the hosts kept the control and won the game.

Focus on the next game in Piraeus!

After winning the Greek Cup, the men’s water polo team was defeated by Jug (10-6) which remains in the first position and unbeatable in the group. Although the European champions started the game well and led with 2-0, were bad offensively and Jug did a 5-0 run. In the last period, the “Reds’’ couldn’t claim anything and remained in the third position of the group at the end of the first round with eleven points. In the next game, Olympiacos faces the Croatian team in Papastrateio (6/2).

Olympiacos joins global partners to promote good governance in sport with BIG4SPORTS!

The kick-off meeting of the BIG4SPORTS project was completed successfully in Barcelona. A delegation of Olympiacos and nine European sports organizations joined forces at the two-day meeting organized by EPSI at the Museum of Sport.
