First step to the quarter-finals!

Olympiacos continues its impressive presence in the Challenge Cup winning Menen 3-1 in the first game of the round “8” in Belgium. The ‘’Reds’’ had the support of 50 fans and made the first sept to qualify to the semi-finals of the competition. It has an important advantage and wants to secure the qualification in the rematch held at Renti (1/3).

Kick-off meeting in Piraeus: A general review

The first meeting of You’re Hope was held with great success in Piraeus. Olympiacos prepared an exciting event for the start of the project and a range of social ones so as to please the partners for their contribution. The participants were very happy with the great hospitality and excellent work of Olympiacos related to the preparation of the project.

Press conference of ‘’You’re Hope’’!

An excellent press conference organized by Olympiacos during the kick-off meeting of You’re Hope project. The participants had the opportunity to answer the questions of journalists and present the overall concept of the project. Olympiacos received very positive comments not only for its hospitality but also for the general contribution to the implementation of European projects.

A loss in Dubrovnik!

After eight wins and a draw in Champions League, Olympiacos was defeated by Jug 10-8 in Croatia. Despite this result, the ‘’Reds’’ continue to lead the first group of the tournament having a three-point margin from the second Brescia. Although Olympiacos came back and was a goal way just 1:30 before the end, the bad start cost.

A great victory in Romania and qualification to the next round!

Having a leading performance, Olympiacos won Targoviste in Romania and secured its qualification to the final-8 of the Challenge Cup. After defeating the first game, the ‘’Reds’’ were very concentrated and calm and proved that were fairly finalists in the competition of the last year. It overturned the situation formed by defeating 3-2 in the first match in Renti and qualified.

The day has finally arrived: our clubs kicked off ‘’You’re Hope’’!

An amazing meeting took place for the official start of the ‘’You’re Hope’’ project in the headquarters of Olympiacos SFP yesterday. Christina Tsiligkiri, the General Secretary of Olympiacos and Project Coordinator, welcomed the representatives of the partners in Piraeus having a beneficial discussion about the further development of the project.

Olympiacos is a Champion for HOPE!

Olympiacos stands once again this year on the side of Ms. Marianna V. Vardinoyannis, of "ELPIDA" (hope) and of the "ELPIDA Association", aiming to offer help to children in need of support, of care and of medical treatment. "ELPIDA" is there for them, and it’s a family, just like Olympiacos. Families rely on mutual support and help towards one another. Olympiacos’ leader, Mr. Evangelos Marinakis, is always present, wherever there’s need. And he does it also here, for the children.

Another victory and qualification to the final-8!

Olympiacos secured the qualification to the round of 8 after the victory against Lokomotiv Baku in Azerbaijan. This is the third consecutive qualification after those against Inegol and Tours. The Greek team was the dominant of the two games without losing any set. The next opponent is the Belgian Menen. The next first game will be held in Belgium on 13 February and the rematch in Piraeus on 27.

Olympiacos continues to dominate in the European Erasmus+ sport programmes. Delegation of our club, headed by the General Secretary, Christina Tsiligkiri, will be present in the annual meeting of the European Multisport Clubs (EMCA) in Brussels.

First defeat in Challenge Cup!

After fourteen consecutive victories in Greek and European competitions, Olympiacos was defeated by Targoviste in tiebreak. In the first game of the round of 16, the ‘’Reds’’ didn’t have their best performance. Although the Greek team was ahead with 21-16 in the second set, tied in 2-2 and controlled the fifth one in the start, the large number of mistakes led to the first defeat of the year.
