A defeat against Valencia!

Olympiacos was defeated with 77-66 against Valencia in the second leg of the Eurocup. The “Reds’’ were back since the first quarter and Valencia led with 12 points in the first half. The team tried to reduce in the last quarter but couldn’t avoid the defeat. Gemelos was the top scorer with 20 points and Thomas added 16.

Doubled the victories in the LEN Champions League!

The men’s water polo team celebrated the second victory in the Champions League as they won against Sintez Kazan (10-8) at Papastrateio. The Reds doubled their victories against the tough Russians in the first European home game having the support of their fans and now, are focusing on the next match against Jadran Carine on 29 October. Olympiacos kept the control and went ahead since the start until the end and could have reached the victory easier if didn’t drop the rate of the man-ups in the second half.

Dominant against Namur!

Olympiacos won Namur with 70-41 at Peace and Friendship Stadium and made an excellent premiere at the Women's Eurocup. The “Reds’’ dominated from the first moment and had a perfect performance winning comfortably.

A legendary qualification to the the third round!

After a thrilling game in Renni, Olympiacos celebrated an important qualification to the 3rd round of the EHF Cup, winning against Timisoara with 29-26 overturning the 31-29 defeat in Romania. The “Reds’’ played with soul and passion and although it was back in the first half, the fans encouraged them to overturn the score and qualified to the next round so as to claim the ticket for the group stage. The team needed a win with a three-goal margin and did it celebrating an important moment for the Greek handball.

An outstanding performance in Split!

The men’s water polo team started the Champions League well winning against Jadran Split with 17-8 in Croatia. At the premiere of the best water-polo club competition, the 2018 European championship and 2019 finalist proved that it will play a leading role this year as well having an outstanding performance. The “Reds’’ exploited the man-ups seven times and were excellent defensively. Olympiacos led with 5-2 in the first period and kept calm when Jadran tried to react in the second one.

Olympiacos will fight for the qualification in the rematch!

Although it had controlled the game going ahead until 3 minutes before the end, Olympiacos was defeated by Timisoara in Romania (31-29) in the first game of the second qualification round of the EHF Cup. The “Reds’’ led with 27-22 but a poor performance in the last minutes gave the opportunity to the Romanians to reach a 31-29 victory. The rematch will take place at Rent on next Saturday (12:10, 19:00).

No to racism

Olympiacos S.F.P. fights against any racist behaviour and against any action that challenges the personality of any athlete, coach, agent, supervisor, referee or fan during a match, both on and off the field.

Also, the club has never had any intention to support such behaviours. On the contrary, it has repeatedly taken actions and initiatives against racism and is eager to cooperate with other teams promoting fair play.

Qualified to the EuroCup!

Olympiacos was defeated by BLMA (86-67) in France and failed to qualify to the Euroleague group stage. Thomas was the top scorer with 24 points and Graves added 16 ones. The “Reds” will continue to the Group G of the Eurocup facing the VBW CEKK Cegled (Hungary), Namur (Belgium) and Valencia (Spain).
