Defeated and disqualified

Olympiacos was unable to recover from its bad first half,  lost by Girona with 89-62 at Pavelló Municipal Girona - Fontajau and stayed out the Eurocup. Despite the win (65-60) in the first game in Glyfada, Olympiacos was defeated with more points and now, is focusing on the Greek competitions. Macaulay scored 17 points, Anderson had 14 ones and Chatzinikolaou added 12.

A comfortable win against Logrono!

The women’s volleyball team continues its participation in Challenge Cup with dreams and ambitions. The ‘’Reds’’ celebrated the qualification to the "16" of the competition as it won Logrono  3-0 set (25-18, 25-12, 25-17) at the Renti’s "M. Merkouri", making an excellent appearance. Having the great support of its fans, Olympiacos played well against the Spanish Champion and secured the qualification to the next round.

An important victory against Girona!

Having a great defencive performance, Olympiacos made the first step to qualify to the next Eurocup phase, dominating against Girona 65-60 for the first game of the Eurocup round of 16. The ‘’Reds’’ gained a great victory and now, goes to Spain so as to ensure the qualification to the next round. Macaulay scored 15 points, Kaltsidou added 14 and Maltsi had 13.

The king of Champions League!

Olympiacos made history in Budapest. The Hungarian Head Coach Zoltan Caszas and his assistant and current coach of the team, Thodoris Vlachos led the ‘’Reds’’ to the top of Europe. They won Jug (8-5) in the semifinal taking revenge for the defeat of the last season final in Dubrovnik.

Olympiacos is in the top of Europe!

Olympiacos won its first ever European cup in women’s water polo on Saturday as it became the third Greek team to win the LEN Trophy, Europe’s second-tier competition.

The Piraeus club defeated Firenze 10-9 in the final held in Florence, where the tournament’s final-four was organized.

Celebrated the first European Cup on the 71st birthday!

Olympiacos won the first European title in all sports on its 71st birthday, 10 March 1996. Having the support of 20,000 fans, the men’s volleyball team made history winning in the final held in Peace and Friendship Stadium. The team of Giannis Laios beat Bayer Wuppertal (3-2) and led the Greek volleyball on the highest European podium.

Qualification to the next round!

Having an excellent defensive performance, Olympiacos won Sepsi 67-56 and qualified to the top 16 of EuroCup. The ‘’Reds’’ imposed their rhythm from the beginning of the game with Maltsi scoring 17 points and Macaulay adding 16.

An impressive victory in Hungary!

The ‘’Legend’’ did another important victory as it beat OSC Budapest 10-6 and keeps its impressive performance having four wins and a draw in the first five days of Champions League. It was the absolute dominant in Budapest and remains on the top of the group.
