Qualified to the Challenge Cup quarter-finals!

The qualification for the qualification to the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup was celebrated by the women’s volleyball team which won Yenisei Krasnoyarsk (3-1) in the second match held at the Rentis sporting hall. The Reds needed two sets after the victory in the first game and secured the qualification in 44 minutes. In the quarter-finals, Olympiacos will face the winner of the game “Swietelsky Bekescsaba-Calcit Volley Kamnik” with the Hungarian team leading 3-0 in the first leg.

The Head coach Branko Kovacevic stated: "What we wanted from today's game was to win the first two sets. We did it, not so easily but with good performance. It was important that we were able to rest our players and at the same time give other players time to compete against a strong opponent. They seized the opportunity and I am happy for that. "

Ana Zivojinovic mentioned: "It was a difficult period, with strong games, in a few days. Today we played well in the first two sets, were on form and celebrated the qualification quickly. I am proud of my team and want to congratulate my teammates. We are expecting a stronger opponent in the next phase but first of all, we have to think about our own performance. As long as we play well we have nothing to fear”.
