Inclusion in the Spotlight on the Second Day of the Dream Euro Cup
The competitive obligations in the Dream Euro Cup tournament, which is being held in Rome, Italy, through the programs of the European Commission and Erasmus+, continued for Olympiacos.
Our team, which is in the Italian capital with the valuable support and assistance of the Non-Profit Urban Cooperative "EDRA," as well as gipedaki.gr, faced the generally acknowledged strongest team of the tournament, Germany, on the second day. Despite the defeat, our players gained significant experiences regarding inclusion for people with mental disorders.
Nevertheless, with its victory in the opener, Olympiacos still holds second place in the group and has increased chances of advancing to the next phase of the tournament.
It should be noted that 12 countries from Europe are participating in the Dream Euro Cup matches, with Greece being represented by Olympiacos. This particular tournament aims to unite individuals with mental disorders, promoting their social inclusion in every country.
The tournament is supported and funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ program and is being held during this period due to the European Be Active week.
On Wednesday, September 25th, Olympiacos will face Estonia at 16:00 Greek time.
