On Saturday, October 21, 2024, the Peace and Friendship Stadium will host the International Teqball Tournament, an important sporting event that is part of the European Erasmus+ program. The tournament, supported by the Municipality of Piraeus, brings together athletes and teams from five European countries: Greece, Italy, Spain, Hungary, and Poland.

 

This event strengthens the bonds of cooperation between European nations and aims to promote Teqball, a modern and rapidly growing sport that combines elements of football and table tennis. The tournament is expected to become a landmark for the development of the sport on a European level, while also promoting the common values of the European Union in sports, such as cooperation, solidarity, and fair play.

 

The event will start with qualifying matches at 9:00 a.m., with the finals taking place at 5:30 p.m. The award ceremony for the winners will follow at 6:00 p.m.

 

The International Teqball Tournament is a significant part of the Erasmus+ program's efforts to improve athlete mobility and strengthen sports cooperation across Europe.
