Olympiacos in European Commission!

Olympiacos participated in the Sport infoday of European Commission held at the "Charlemagne" building. This meeting is organized annually to inform stakeholders about the Erasmus + initiatives and the related procedural details.

The meeting started with the greetings of the Head of EACEA, Mrs. Ute Haller-Block and the European Commissioner for Sport Mr Tibor Navracsics. The first part of the meeting focused on the presentation of the objectives and priorities that the European Commission will emphasize in 2020. These priorities are related to sport integrity (good governance, anti-doping), innovation and the social dimension of sport (social integration of vulnerable social groups, sport and education, health and the environment). Subsequently, the organizing authority presented the main instructions for the submission of final applications as much as the criteria for final selection and approval. The next part of the meeting included three interesting sessions for candidate participants on the evaluation of applications and projects, their budget analysis based on duration and number of participants, European opportunities for "small" collaborative partnerships. In the last part, the European Commission representatives presented non-Erasmus + actions which the candidate participants will be able to submit proposals and develop collaborations.

This meeting was particularly informative for the implementation of the new projects and the submission of applications. In addition, Olympiacos representatives had the opportunity to further develop their communication network with successful European sport organizations by exchanging views and developing important contacts for the implementation of innovative sport projects. The enthusiasm and the desire of the other participants for possible collaborations with Olympiacos clearly show the great work of the club staff over the years Now, the focus is on the preparation of new proposals and implementation of interesting sport initiatives at European level.
