Olympiacos participates in the BIG4SPORTS kick-off meeting!

Olympiacos continues its strong presence in the 2019 Erasmus+ projects participating in the BIG4SPORTS kick-off meeting. Representatives of eight sport organizations and clubs, including Olympiacos, will meet in the Catalan capital in order to discuss the final details on the implementation of the project.

The project aims to improve the good governance of sport organizations so as to ensure long and successful partnerships with public and private sponsors. This will be done through the development of a specific methodology based on innovative collaboration schemes, the effective implementation of the principles of good governance and the final evaluation of this methodology in order to be spread to the European sport community. Good governance in sport organizations seems to be an important issue for the management of external funding. The adoption of new and innovative mechanisms of good governance has a direct and positive effect on the overall image of sports organizations and is likely to increase sponsorship income and the sport attractiveness.

The coordinating role of the program has been undertaken by the Belgian organization EPSI in cooperation with 4 European sports organizations (ICSS, SPONSORA, Catalan Sport Council) and 4 multisport clubs - members of EMCA (Olympiacos, Hask Mladost, Aalborg, Wiener). The project lasts 30 months and includes interesting actions and meetings, giving our club the opportunity to prove its leadership role in European sports initiatives.
