The General Assembly of the European Multisport Club Association (EMCA) is taking place in Sant Cugat, Barcelona, from 19 to 21 March, serving as a meeting point for the partners of the Erasmus+ DigiRoot project. As part of the programme, the partners’ meeting was held on the first day (19/3), with the active participation of Olympiacos S.F.P.
DigiRoot is an innovative Erasmus+ project implemented by a strong network of sports organisations and institutions, including the European Multisport Club Association (EMCA), TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen (Germany), Olympiacos S.F.P. (Greece), Levski Sport for All (Bulgaria), HAŠK Mladost (Croatia), the Global Sport Innovation Center – GSIC (Spain), and the University of Cyprus – UCY (Cyprus), with the support of associated partners such as IIISSS (Italy). The project aims to support the digital transformation of grassroots sports clubs through the development of modern tools, the enhancement of digital skills, and the adoption of best practices.
During the meeting, partners reviewed the progress achieved so far and engaged in detailed discussions on the next steps and final activities of the project. Particular emphasis was placed on the upcoming official communication of the digital platform, the development and management strategy for social media, the sustainability dimension of the project, and the effective dissemination of its results.
As this was the final project meeting, partners also defined the final deliverables and the actions required for the successful completion of the project, which is now entering its final phase.
Olympiacos S.F.P. remains strongly committed to its participation in European programmes, and particularly in DigiRoot, actively contributing to strengthening cooperation among sports organisations and creating meaningful impact at both local and international level.
The project activities continue consistently, confirming the commitment of all partners to the successful completion and exploitation of its results.
