Presentation of Results and Policy Recommendations of the European Movement Pills Programme in Piraeus

A dissemination event (multiplier event) of the European programme Movement Pills was successfully held, with the participation of local authorities, institutional stakeholders, and decision-makers.

The aim of the event was to present the project results, as well as the methodology developed to promote physical activity as a key tool for prevention and public health improvement.

During the event, participants were introduced to the main project activities, achieved results, and benefits for citizens, with a particular focus on tackling sedentary lifestyles and encouraging more active behaviours.

Special emphasis was given to the presentation of the Movement Pills methodology, which promotes physical activity as a “natural remedy”, along with innovative tools and collaborative approaches designed to engage citizens.

The event also included the presentation of the project’s Policy Recommendations, addressed to institutional stakeholders, aiming to support the integration of physical activity into public health policies and to improve access to sport opportunities.

The discussion highlighted the importance of cooperation between sport organisations, public authorities, and local communities in developing sustainable initiatives that promote health and well-being.

The Movement Pills project is a European initiative aimed at tackling sedentary lifestyles and promoting physical activity as a key element of primary prevention.
