Olympiacos qualified to Euroleague!

Olympiacos got an amazing victory against Wisla Krakow with Pavlopoulou scoring in the last second and qualified to the group stage of Euroleague. The ‘’Reds’’ were ahead from the beginning and achieved a thrilling qualification. Spyridopoulou scored 12 points and Sotiriou added 9 ones. 

Key action: 

The game was balanced in the first minutes and Spyridopoulou gave the lead to the Greek team with two consecutive three-point shots. Olympiacos kept going ahead and did a 1-0 run for 14-24. Again, Spiridopoulou scored for three points to boost the margin to +12 (16-28). Wisla achieved to reduce to seven points at the end of the first half. 

At the second half, Wisla continued its counterattack and dropped the difference to four points (26-30). Sotiriou replied with a three-point shot but the Polish team achieved to tie the game (35-35). Olympiacos kept the lead at the end of the third quarter as Johnson scored (36-39). In the last period, the two teams were bad offensively. Wisla went ahead but Johnson replied for 42-43. The ‘’Reds’’ failed in three consecutive attacks and Wisla preceded with three points a minute before the end. Sotiriou scored for two points and Pavlopoulou gave Olympiacos the victory and the qualification to Euroleague group stage.
