A good start in Euroleague!

 
The women’s water polo team started the European competition successfully winning against CE Mediterrani with 13-8 and proved that it’s ready for the game against Dunaujvaros which is very important for the first position in the group. The Reds showed the superiority from the start leading 3-1 in the first period. The team kept the control and the 6-1 lead in the third period urged to celebrate the first victory in the group. Olympiacos faces Dunaujvaros on Saturday (30/11) at 18:30 for the second match.

The Head coach Charis Pavlidis stated: "We started winning in Euroleague which was what we wanted. We scored the goals needed and won the match easily in the third period. Hopefully, we don’t make the same mistakes tomorrow, as Dunaujvaros is a stronger team."
 
Kyra Christmas mentioned: "I am very happy to be at Olympiacos and working with Charis Pavlidis again. Today it was a European premiere and every premiere can hide traps. We started slower but improved and took the lead. It was a good match so as to find our rhythm for the tomorrow game which is very crucial for the first position’’.
